As a studio we’re committed to offering a welcoming, inclusive and rewarding place to work for everyone in our team. As a Payloader, you’ll have the chance to work with friendly and talented teammates.
We know that a job is about more than just work, so we host regular socials and encourage staff clubs. Work-life balance is also super important to us, so we don’t crunch and offer a range of wellbeing support.
The studio is based in Camden, which features good transport links, several local food markets and a range of interesting eateries. We offer hybrid and fully remote working.

In addition to learning on the job, Payloaders are able to access training courses, workshops and the unique benefits of the Tentacle Zone. This includes exclusive talks and events, plus the chance to chat to (and learn from) the talented developers that form our supportive and growing community.
+ Mental Health Support
Supporting our Payloaders' wellbeing is a priority for us. All Payloaders have access to trained Mental Health First Aiders, an externally- run Employee Assistance Programme, as well as 2x Wellbeing Days. We also host regular Mental Health Chats to provide our team with a safe space to talk about mental health and to facilitate peer to peer support.
+ Family Friendly
To support Payloaders with families we offer a generous family policy which includes 8 weeks fully paid paternity leave and 24 weeks fully paid maternity leave. We also offer hybrid working options (which includes the option to work some days from home).
+ Holidays and Staff Socials
We know that taking holidays is important, so all Payloaders have at least 38 days off. This includes 25 days of annual leave, 8 UK bank holidays, 3 days when the studio closes between Christmas and new year, plus 2 Wellbeing Days. We also love to socialise and get to know our fellow Payloaders, so we host regular socials and staff clubs (featuring DnD, Film Club, Foodies and more).

As part of our growing perks and benefits package we also offer a Cycle to Work Scheme, Eye Care Scheme, regular treats and rewards (we try to find the balance between healthy snacks and finding occasions to enjoy cake!), regular team socials, and discounts with local businesses.
Charity
Payload Studios supports and contributes to a number of charities, both directly through company contributions, as well as matching staff donations during certain events.
Recent recipients include Special Effect, Movember, Save the Children, and the World Health Organisation.
