We’re always on the lookout for talented people to join us at our friendly studio in Farringdon, London.

We're hiring

Our Team

We’re all professionals, but we keep a friendly atmosphere. We own and sell our own games, set our own deadlines and so we don’t crunch. Ensuring our team has a healthy work-life balance is one of our top priorities!

Meet the team

Working at Payload Studios

Our studio had a large communal kitchen and café area. Lunchtime and after work clubs are encouraged and areas to play games, a MAME cabinet and foosball table are all provided.

We love to celebrate together and provide regular treats and socials (always with inclusive and non-alcoholic options).

We offer a range of staff benefits including a generous family policy, a cycle to work scheme and mental health support (including mental health first aiders and an Employee Assistance Programme). We also offer the option for part-time remote working.

We benefit from a fantastic central London location. Our studio is within easy walking distance of Farringdon, Chancery Lane, Kings Cross and Russell Square Tube and Rail Stations. We offer a cycle to work scheme and have parking for bicycles and motorcycles in front of the studio.

Company Culture

We're committed to providing our team with a welcoming, inclusive and rewarding workplace. As a tight family of developers we love to socialise and celebrate together which we do at regular socials and parties. We also have a range of active staff clubs including book club, table football, Magic the Gathering club and a weekly game of Age of Rebellion (Star Wars DnD, currently being GM’d by the boss, Russ).

Everyone is also encouraged to start their own clubs (the most recent addition is film club). Remotely working hasn't stopped the socialising with a weekly coffee break club and regular socials (including online escape room experiences, activity sessions and of course quizzes!).

In 2019 we launched our Game On inclusion and diversity initiative. We have, and continue to, take a variety of steps to promote inclusivity and diversity within the studio. As part of this we run an inclusion focused Employee Resource Group and host a regular series of Game On events.
